South Hill Farm

Our Story

About South Hill Farm

A lavender farm taking root on a Lebanon, Oregon hillside — planted with patience, purpose, and a lot of duck eggs along the way.

South Hill Farm

How It All Began

We purchased the 3.4-acre property in 2025, and it came with a sign out front that read South Hill Farm. The name fit, and we didn't have much of a plan — so we kept it.

In May 2026, the first three hundred plants — Grosso, Munstead, and Hidcote Blue — went into the ground. The first small harvest is expected in Summer 2027. Full maturity will take another three to five years. In the meantime, a small flock of ducks are doing their part.

What We're Growing

One Plant, Three Varieties

Each variety was chosen for a specific purpose — culinary, oil production, or dried arrangements. Together they cover the full range of lavender products we plan to offer.

Grosso (Lavandin)

Essential oil, sachets, crafting — high oil yield and very vigorous.

Munstead (English)

Culinary lavender — sweet fragrance, compact growth, perfect for cooking.

Hidcote Blue (English)

Culinary and dried bundles — deep violet blooms that hold color beautifully when dried.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Lavender at the Core

Everything we're building centers on lavender — culinary buds, essential oil, sachets, soaps, and dried bundles. We're growing three varieties specifically chosen for their distinct uses.

Slow & Intentional

Lavender takes time. Our first plants go in the ground in 2026; the first real harvest won't come until 2027. We're okay with that. Good things are worth the wait.

Community Rooted

We plan to sell locally and welcome the community to the farm. Someday that means U-pick days, yoga at sunrise, and lavender workshops.

Working Land, Open Gates

The panoramic mountain views from our property aren't just a backdrop — they're part of the vision. We want people to experience this hillside, not just buy from it.
